A solution to improve water quality.

The water supplied by the waterworks is of drinking quality. However, chemicals which are often added for disinfection purposes can cause unpleasant odours and tastes. To remove these and other contaminants (turbidity, iron, manganese etc.) that may enter the network system, we recommend the Medallist filters. It could also be an option for cleaning water from a private well.

Culligan Medallist filters remove all contaminants from water and, depending on the model chosen, provide perfectly clean water free of iron and manganese, neutralize the aggressiveness of acidic water, remove unpleasant odours and tastes, and retain pesticides, synthetic detergents and chlorinated solvents.

A bypass valve on the control valve allows the filter to be shut off from the water supply, thus facilitating system maintenance operations.

Medallist filters are fully automatic. The wide range of available filter types allows you to choose the most suitable type for each application.

Different filtering combinations can be used for different problems.

  • UF version: It is suitable for removing turbidity from water and minor iron and manganese contaminations.
  • UR version: It is suitable for eliminating unpleasant odours, taste and colour, as well as for removing organic matter and micro-contaminations, and adsorbing chlorine residues.
  • UU version: Suitable for neutralizing acidic water, protecting pipework and metal parts against corrosion.
  • UFP version: Suitable for removing iron and manganese. It requires the use of an oxidizing chemical.

Maintenance should be carried out by a professional at least once a year (general inspection, checking parameters and water quality).
